Reuniting with Families

CHILD Ashram’s primary objective is to reunite children with their families.  CHILD Ashram believes that the family is the best place for any child to be loved and grow.  Children from the streets have learnt to distrust everybody.  They lie to get sympathy or some kindness, more as a defense mechanism.  After a while at CHILD Ashram, through the constant faith instilled in the children, the child learns to trust and confide in the people at CHILD Ashram.  Soon the child’s family, parents and addresses are gathered and the child is counselled to go back to the family, after detailing the dangers of street-life.

Over the years, over 362 children have been reunited with their families.  The families too, are surprised with the transformation and the confidence of the child. Several parents have expressed their despair and loss of hope in ever finding their children.  The reunions are so emotional, happy and miraculous, that we have no words to express these scenes and experiences.
